About Michael Calcagno
Michael Calcagno has been designing transit maps since 1995.
After a 15-year hiatus due to workload and family. Being an empty nester, he came back in 2020 with better vector-based graphics software which allowed him to design better maps. His love of maps has led him to create many interesting designs, for example, Vignelli's NYC subway map of the 1970s, BART, LAMetro, London Underground, WMATA, and other designs onto many other transit system maps. He also likes to tinker several map design cues into something different with an example of blending the 1979 MTA base map with 1940s Hagstrom designs.
Michael Calcagno is a 27-year veteran City Letter Carrier doing Parcel Post/Collections with the United States Postal Service.
